963,000,000 That’s how many messages are sent on Discord every day — that’s almost 7 billion messages a week, nearly 29 billion a month, and over 351 billion a year.
Not bad for a company that released the first-ever stable version of its software on April 1, 2019, after running on beta versions since launching in 2015.

Discord is an audio, video and text communications platform that is often cited as the “Skype for gamers”. While gamers (a broad category itself) constitute the majority of users, the comparison is not fair to Discord.
First of all, Skype has long been known for its glitches, bugs, and a tendency to consume lots of computing resources, while Discord seldom suffers from these issues.

Discord and Twitter integrations to improve server engagement

Link Twitter To Discord
This guide will show you how to create a simple bot that posts tweets to discord as soon as they are posted.
Discord
We need to start off by creating a new discord text channel on your server by clicking the plus sign close to your server name.
Make sure text channel is selected and give it a name and then click Create channel.
Create a webhook for that channel by clicking the settings wheel of your new text channel and then webhooks. Click Create Webhook
Scroll down to the bottom and copy the webhook url and then Save.
IFTTT

Create an account @ https://www.ifttt.com and login.
Once logged in, click Get more in the top right corner.
Search for twitter in the search field and then click Services and then Twitter.
Click Connect and then Authorize app.
Click on your profile picture in the top left corner and then Create.
Click on the big black and white plus sign between IF and THEN.
Scroll down/Search and select the Twitter Icon.
Select New tweet by a specific user and input the name of the user you want to get notifications from.
Click Create trigger.
Click on the big black and white plus sign between THEN and THAT.
Search and select Webhooks and then click Connect.
Select Make a web request as the action.
Paste the webhook you created earlier into the URL
For Method select POST.
Content Type select application/json.
For the code below, replace @username with the handle you are getting notifications from and paste the code into the Body.
Click Create Action.
Disable Recieve notifications when this Applets runs and then click Finish.
You’re done! You will now be notified on discord when you (or the twitter handle you picked) posts a new tweet.
